Amsterdamse MSM Community presenteert NoMoreC tijdens AIDS2018

Amsterdam MSM Community presents NoMoreC during AIDS2018

On Tuesday 24 July, NoMoreC Boy Scouts and initiators presented ‘NoMoreC: a multilevel approach to eliminate hepatitis C infections among MSM in Amsterdam’ during AIDS 2018. In the Amsterdam Theater, located in the freely accessible Global Village, the NoMoreC team held two presentations of half an hour each. Host and Boy Scout Joseph Kearney hosted the event with charm and interviewed different Boy Scouts and NoMoreC team members, among which Marc van der Valk, Maria Prins, Paul Zantkuijl, Ivo Mittelmeijer, Tamara Prinsenberg and Ejay de Wit.

Topics that were discussed were: the epidemic among MSM, the virus itself, risk and risk reduction, at home testing, the NoMoreC Prevention Toolbox and Community Action. Community activity coordinator Ejay de Wit showed the contents of the NoMoreC Toolbox and explained what each item is for (see picture on the right). After the presentation there was room for questions.

The presentations were attended by international visitors and passers-by, and have helped to put the NoMoreC project on the map internationally during AIDS2018.
